โปรแกรมฟรีและดีสำหรับ Windows

ผมหาคอมพิวเตอร์ให้ญาติผมใช้ ก็เลยลงโปรแกรมฟรีและถูกลิขสิทธิ์ให้เขาไปใช้ด้วย ผมเขียนคำอธิบายว่าเครื่องลงโปรแกรมอะไรไว้เลยเอาบางส่วนมาไว้ที่บล็อกนี้ด้วย เผื่อจะมีประโยชน์ต่อท่านอื่นและเผื่อมีใครสมัครใช้ Dropbox ตามลิงค์ผม เราจะได้มีทีเก็บของเพิ่มกันฟรีๆด้วย ผมอยากแนะนำให้ใช้ www.ninite.com เพื่อลงโปรแกรม และแนะนำ Dropbox กับ Google Docs สำหรับเก็บเอกสารครับ เพราะ Ninite ทำให้เราไม่เสียเวลานั่งรอการลงโปรแกรมและอัพเดทง่าย และถ้าเราเก็บเอกสารไว้บน Dropbox หรือ Google Docs เวลาคอมพิวเตอร์เราต้องซ่อม หรือหาย หรือเปลี่ยนเครื่องใหม่ หรือไปใช้อีกเครื่อง เราจะสามารถเข้าถึงเอกสารของเราได้ ไม่ต้องก็อปปี้ไฟล์ไปมา ข้างล่างเป็นส่วนหนึ่งที่ผมเขียนให้ญาติผมครับ โปรแกรมทั้งหมดลงได้จาก Ninite ครับ:

โปรแกรมที่ลงมาให้คือ

1. LibreOffice เป็นซอฟท์แวร์ฟรี ลิขสิทธิ์ถูกต้อง ใช้แทน Microsoft Office ได้ เวลาเซฟงานเราเลือกนามสกุลไฟล์เป็น .doc .xls ได้
2. Foxit Reader ฟรี ใช้เปิดไฟล์ PDF อ่าน (แทน Adobe Acrobat)
3. ImgBurn ฟรี ใช้เขียนแผ่น CD/DVD
4. PDFCreator ใช้สร้างไฟล์ PDF โดยเวลาเราพิมพ์เอกสารจากโปรแกรมต่างๆ เราสามารถเลือกพิมพ์แล้วเลือก  PDFCreator เป็นเครื่องพิมพ์แทนเครื่องจริงๆ เราจะได้ไฟล์ PDF ออกมา ผมแนะนำให้ส่งเอกสารที่ผู้รับไม่จำเป็นต้องเปลี่ยนแปลงเป็นไฟล์ PDF เสมอ (LibreOffice ไม่จำเป็นต้องใช้ PDFCreator เพราะสร้างไฟล์ PDF ได้เองอยู่แล้ว)
5. Picasa ใช้เก็บและดูรูปภาพ
6. Skype ใช้พูดคุยแชทผ่านคอมพิวเตอร์
7. Windows Live Messenger ใช้พูดคุยแชทผ่านคอมพิวเตอร์
8. Notepad++ ใช้แทน Notepad ที่มากับ Windows เผื่อต้องใช้
9. VLC Media Player ใช้ดูหนังฟังเพลง
10. KMPlayer ใช้ดูหนังฟังเพลง
11. Launchy ใช้เปิดโปรแกรมโดยไม่ต้องไปเลือกตามเมนู แค่กดคีย์ Alt กับ Space (แป้นเว้นวรรค) พร้อมกัน จะมีหน้าต่างขึ้นมาให้เราพิมพ์ชื่อโปรแกรม ปกติแค่พิมพ์ตัวอักษรตัวสองตัวก็เลือกได้แล้ว
12. Microsoft Security Essential เป็นโปรแกรม anti-virus ของไมโครซอฟท์ ใช้ได้กับ Windows ถูกลิขสิทธิ์
13. Paint.Net โปรแกรมวาดและแต่งภาพ ฟรี ใช้แทน Photoshop
14. Google Chrome เป็นโปรแกรมท่องเว็บแทน Internet Explorer มันเร็วกว่า และน่าจะปลอดภัยกว่า

ถ้าสงสัยอันไหน ไปค้นหาชื่อโปรแกรมใน Google นะครับ เวลาลงโปรแกรมผมไปที่ www.ninite.com จะมีโปรแกรมฟรีและดีหลากหลายให้เลือก เราสามารถเลือกหลายๆโปรแกรมแล้วโหลดตัวติดตั้งมาหนึ่งตัว แล้วตัวติดตั้งนั้นจะลงทุกโปรแกรมที่เราเลือกไว้โดยเราไม่ต้องนั่งรอกดปุ่มทีละโปรแกรม

ผมแนะนำว่าให้ทดลองใช้ Dropbox เพื่อเก็บเอกสารการงาน เพราะเราสามารถใช้เอกสารจากคอมพิวเตอร์เครื่องไหนก็ได้ แชร์ไฟล์ให้คนอื่นก็ได้ มีแบคอัพอัตโนมัติ มีคนอธิบายการใช้ไว้ที่ http://www.i3.in.th/content/view/1927 ลองอ่านดูนะครับ สมัครใช้แบบฟรีเราจะได้้พื้นที่ 2 GB ถ้าอยากสมัครให้กดลิงค์นี้ http://db.tt/OlZhBwX คุณจะได้พื้นที่เพิ่มขึ้นอีกฟรีๆและผมก็จะได้พื้นที่เพิ่มด้วย 


อีกอย่างที่อยากให้ลองคือ Google Docs คือเราสามารถสร้างเอกสารเก็บไว้ในเว็บกับ Google เลย เวลาจะให้คนอื่นดูก็แค่ส่งลิงค์ให้เขา ไม่ต้องส่งไฟล์ใหญ่ๆ และเราไม่ต้องกลัวเอกสารหายจากฮาร์ดดิสค์พังด้วย เข้าไปสมัครและใช้ได้ที่ http://www.google.com/google-d-s/intl/th/tour1.html  นะครับ

TestDisk & PhotoRec: Rescuing Deleted Files On Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, And Other OS's

TestDisk is a free (open source) software that let you recovered deleted partitions and files on most major operating systems easily. I've used it successfully on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X on various occasions. So, if you unintentionally delete your files you might want to try it.

For deleted files on digital camera memory, TestDisk has a companion program called PhotoRec that recovers pictures and videos from the various media such hard disks, DVD, CD, memory cards, and thumb drives. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to use it.

Remote Control Your Computers, Hassle Free

If you leave your home computer on and would like to control it from another location, maybe trying to copy some documents or downloading something from the internet, you might find TeamViewer useful.

You just install the software on your home computer and write down the ID number assigned to it by TeamViewer and make a note of the password to connect. Next time you need to connect to it from another place, you can use the TeamViewer application on another computer or go to the TeamViewer web site and connect to your home computer easily. No need to worry about IP addresses, ports, firewalls, VPN settings, etc.

TeamViewer is free for personal use and is available for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. For business use, the price is also very reasonable. For more info about what you can do with TeamViewer, check this page out.

Gapminder: For the Fact Based World View

I was very impressed with Dr. Hans Rosling's presentations at TED showing his super cool visualization software with publicly available data.
